Celebrating 40 Years in the Industry

TQT International Ltd Celebrating 40 Years in the Industry Plastic Injection Toolmaking and Plastics Industry

April 2023 is something of a landmark for me, as it sees the completion of 40 years of working in the Plastic Injection Toolmaking and Plastics Industry.

It also marks the start of the fifth year in operation for my company, TQT International Ltd.

Over the course of the last four years, TQT has seen its business continue to grow, despite facing the inevitable challenges of the covid pandemic and the imposed restrictions on overseas travel.

Fortunately, I have still been able to maintain, strengthen and build on my international relations with customers and manufacturers alike.  I am truly grateful for all their support.

My 40 years in the industry enable me to support and advise customers with their Mould Tooling projects and offer a wealth of knowledge and experience which I have gained over the years.  That said, “Every day is a school day”; a saying I was taught to appreciate from day one by my mentor back in March 1983, wearing my hand-me-down, oversized blue smock. He then went on to build a very successful business.

I am now excited to announce, after three and a half years of Teams and Zooms, plans are being made for in-person visits to TQT’s suppliers in China. Flights and Covid-19 tests have been booked for mid-May!

Covid-19 News

TQT International Ltd Professional Procurement, Project Management and Consultation for Plastic Injection Mould Tooling Injection Mould Tool

Firstly, we want to thank you all for the continued support that you have shown to us during the recent weeks, our thoughts are with everyone during this challenging time whilst we make adjustments to our personal and business lives.

Given the current situation, we would like to provide you with an update.

Shenzhen & Taizhou factories & supply chain

For our suppliers in China, it’s business as usual. Following strict guidelines set by the local authorities, activities have resumed and they are back to being fully operational. They are at full team capacity and we are pleased to say all team members and their families stayed safe and well during the COVID-19 outbreak in China. All of their supply chain partners for component & assemblies manufacture are working as normal. We do not anticipate any issues in the delivery of components to our customers.

Shipping

Our shipping agent and freight forwarder operations in both the UK and China are operating as normal and within the local authorities guidelines. As to be expected the amount of freight is fluctuating but to date we have not experienced any delays for ocean freight.

UK office

Within the UK we have been asked to postpone all non-essential travel and face to face customer visits, replacing these with remote meetings. We are working from home and are still contactable via phone, email and video conference calls.

Please contact the UK office as normal.

TQT International Ltd had to adapt and learn quickly following the outbreak in China which we believe puts us in a strong position going forward. We will continue to work closely and build on our existing strong relationships to collaborate and share our experiences to get through this challenge as an industry together.

As mentioned above the UK office is still working hard and any questions please contact Warren Temperton-Ball on +44 (0) 7521 774618

Take care and stay safe.
